Dove: A mother-daughter’s story
DOVE: The perfect gift of a Mother to her Daughters!
Translations have always been very difficult to me. Translating the only epic, that clouds my life, is all the more fascinating I am not much of a story -teller. Hence I would request my readers to not judge me along the lines for fine vocabulary or verbical symmetry.
It is a small destined tale, compiled into the form of a narration, that I would like my readers to enjoy.
I am a woman of 35 years( 40, as per my husband’s data :C). 20 summers have passed by in pursuit of getting appreciation for the glory, that men, more than women love to admire. The crowing glory.. Black lustrous silky cascading breeze, that can even put shame on the passing clouds.
Yes… Heaven and earth, both have conspired against me not getting that pleasure in this life, after-all. Although I can make young girls go envy with my poise… it is the hair, that does all the talking when least expected. I am a women with very few strands for what is called as the CROWING GLORY.
In college I did fashion shows with wigs as my best friend…. what with the attitude and looks, it was the raising strands that gave me an awful time. Shampoo and conditioner saved the days, but nothing innovative came along.
I…………met my match. Husband dear was full of surprises, expectations.. who had Long lustrous hair as a fascination . who doesn’t have???? But my simplicity got over of the fascination, for a time too short of-course Then started the story for RAISING HAIRS.. Any product with a tag line for growing hairs would end up in my monthly budgeted grocery bills. Expenses mounted… Internet surfing of sites like,Homeshop18, Indiatimes shopping,Online hair raising medications were sky-rocketing my internet bills.
After trying a lot of Indian brands, came across Dove.… price was definitely challenging, but had to try out, for trying sake,as friends and family said otherwise.
For my ripe age, I am a truly satisfied woman…. never had hair-fall problem, but hairs have taken to the silky effect that I always admired… they’ve not become breezy cascading showstoppers, but have given me immense happiness in the form of uplifting my morale and confidence. Length have grown… no idea how many inches, but shoulder length and can be tied in a pony or Braids, or left loose, to cascade down
, as in the Dove commercials.
Yes! it is bond for life, and I made the bond strong enough to last for a lifetime… with my Daughters.
Daughters are improvised versions of a mother… Both my daughters are God-gifted with the Life’s only fascination that I have….HAIRS. It fills my heart with soothing calmness to observe them growing with love and long thick hairs, and i know, a young man in distant future will be the shining knight in armor for my elder daughter, soon to be in her teens… lovely as she is, with long braids, caressed by Dove once a week.
I befriended Dove off late, but my Daughters, have made a companion for a lifetime. Her long silky braids have been a talk in my family. Dark , black, shiny hairs with no split-ends, is it a mamma’s Love or is it the New DOVE????? Both compliments each other.
“The new Dove with no split ends and with advanced Split end rescue system, is apt for the young girls, to give the proper nourishment to the scalp and the ends, that will determine the growth process along with nutrition in the long run. Braiding the hairs for school going girls , prevents them form hair tangling and untimely loosing”.
Dove.. you are a mothers first love!
I have gifted my daughters the most precious of all cosmetics, the natural Beauty to transform any young lady to a women….
But have you????
