Dove: A mother-daughter’s story

DOVE: The perfect gift of a Mother to her Daughters!

Translations have always been very difficult to me. Translating the only epic, that clouds my life, is all the more fascinating  I am not much of a story -teller. Hence I would request my readers to not judge me along the lines for fine vocabulary or verbical symmetry.

It is a small destined tale, compiled into  the form of a narration, that I would like my readers to enjoy.

I am a woman of 35 years( 40, as per my husband’s data :C). 20 summers have passed by in pursuit of getting appreciation for the glory, that men, more than women love to admire. The crowing glory.. Black lustrous  silky cascading breeze, that can even put shame on the passing clouds.

Yes… Heaven and earth, both have conspired against me not getting that pleasure in this life, after-all. Although I can make young girls go envy with my poise… it is the hair, that does all the talking when least expected. I am a women with very few strands for what is called as the CROWING GLORY.

In college I did fashion shows with wigs as my best friend…. what with the attitude and looks, it was the raising strands that gave me an awful time. Shampoo and conditioner saved the days, but nothing innovative came along.

I…………met my match. Husband dear was full of surprises, expectations.. who had Long lustrous hair as a fascination . who doesn’t have???? But my simplicity got over of the fascination, for a time too short of-course  Then started the story for RAISING HAIRS.. Any product with a tag line for growing hairs would end up in my monthly budgeted grocery bills. Expenses mounted… Internet surfing of sites like,Homeshop18, Indiatimes shopping,Online hair raising medications were sky-rocketing my internet bills.

After trying a lot of Indian brands, came across Dove.… price was definitely challenging, but had to try out, for trying sake,as friends and family said otherwise.

Dove: The ultimate gift from a mother to a daughter.

For my ripe age, I am a truly satisfied woman…. never had hair-fall problem, but hairs have taken to the silky effect that I always admired… they’ve not become breezy cascading showstoppers, but have given me immense happiness in the form of uplifting my morale and confidence. Length have grown… no idea how many inches, but shoulder length and can be tied in a pony or Braids, or left loose, to cascade down :D , as in the Dove commercials.

DOVE: A BOND FOR LIFE……….

Yes! it is bond for life, and I made the bond strong enough to last for a lifetime… with my Daughters.

Daughters are improvised versions of a mother… Both my daughters are God-gifted with the Life’s only fascination  that I have….HAIRS. It fills my heart with soothing calmness to observe them growing with love and long thick hairs, and i know, a young man in distant future will be the shining knight in armor for my elder daughter, soon to be in her teens… lovely as she is, with long braids, caressed by Dove once a week.

I befriended Dove off late, but my Daughters, have made a companion for a lifetime. Her long silky braids have been a talk in my family. Dark , black, shiny hairs with no split-ends, is it a mamma’s Love or is it the New DOVE????? Both compliments each other.

DOVE: THE ULTIMATE GIFT TO YOUR DAUGHTERS.

“The new Dove with no split ends and with advanced Split end rescue system, is apt for the young girls, to give the proper nourishment to the scalp and the ends, that will determine the growth process along with nutrition in the long run. Braiding the hairs for school going girls , prevents them form hair tangling and untimely loosing”.

Dove.. you are a mothers first love!

I have gifted my daughters the most precious of all cosmetics, the natural Beauty to transform any young lady to a women….

But have you????

Thanks Indiblogger for the fantastic oppurtunity, to write my heart’s content.

The above photos are of my kids, the younger one is on the path  of the elder one. She too love LOOOONg hairs.

Organic SKIN CARE tips

HOME MADE ORGANIC SKIN CARE TIPS:

Healthy internal radiance is the true definition of beauty. The skin is seen as the mirror of inner health. The external body is simply the manifestation of everything that happens inside. By addressing the components of our life, we can control our Skin’s health.

Skin type differs between individuals; sensitive skin is skin that stings easily, especially during or just after cleansing. Sensitive skin is more likely to be dry and is hyper-reactive – it is prone to develop dermatitis (itchy bumpy skin). Oily skin attracts dirt and bacteria and may lead to acne and pimples. Normal skin also needs regular regime for health.

An unhygienic, poorly protected and undernourished skin is susceptible to various disease conditions such as acne, dermatitis, psoriasis, pruritis (itchy skin) and others.

To stay young is everyone’s desire. However, one has to fight wrinkles, freckles and fine lines to defy age. Apart from AHAs, which increase the collagen content of the skin and provide stiffness, proper moisturising and use of antioxidants prevent ageing of the skin.

Vitamins and ORGANIC SKIN CARE:

Vitamins are essential to the health of your skin, especially vitamins A, B, C and E.

Vitamin E is especially helpful to improve your complexion when applied externally.

 Aging and Organic Skin care:

The thickened skin texture associated with middle age is caused by cellular build up.
It responds very well to mild, abrasive daily cleansing with beauty grains such as finely ground corn meal, ground sun flowers or almonds.
Massage gently to cleanse and stimulate.

Dry Skin and Organic skin care:

Blend together one ounce safflower oil, one ounce avocado oil and two ounces of sesame oil. Apply this to your dry skin areas.Skin Care Tip on Facial Mask

An excellent facial mask can be made with stewed and mashed apricots. Apply to your freshly cleaned face and leave for 20 minutes or longer. Rinse away with warm water, and blot dry. One application will help sallow, dead skin tones, but applying this 3 or 4 times a week will do wonders.

The Beautiful Skin and Organic skin care:

To make or keep your skin beautiful, it’s best to work from the inside.

Eating the right kind of food can do you more good than any medicine, and go a long way in helping your body’s own healing forces.

Eat a balanced diet that includes raw foods, plenty of yellow and orange vegetables (they contain beta carotene – a precursor to vitamin A). Foods high in sulfur such as garlic, onions, asparagus and eggs. Include fruits, seeds, grains and nuts.

The Itchy Skin and Organic Skin care:

Try the following.

A compress made with skim milk or powdered milk or soak the affected area in a colloidal bath made with oatmeal, corn starch or baking soda

The Oily Skin and Organic skin care:

Here is a cleansing stimulating facial treatment that is very helpful for those with oily skin.

Mash together the pulp of one garden ripe tomato and enough fuller’s earth (should find it at most pharmacies) to make a smooth paste. Rub it into your skin and leave it on until it dries completely (note: do not apply to eye area). Rinse with warm water, then splash your face with cold water. Blot dry.

 Rashes and organic skin care:

Whether it’s diaper rash, chicken pox, measles, insect bites or hives, corn starch can provide relief.

For measles and chicken pox, bathe in a tub of water to which a large handful of cornstarch has been added.

For the other rashes rub the cornstarch on as a powder.

Softening Our Skin with Organic Skin Care:

Avocado oil used regularly is an excellent skin softener. It is in rich in vitamins and minerals, especially the skin vitamins A, C and E.

In general, most women follow what they consider facial skin care  routines that enhance their skin’s beauty and health consisting of  skin care products such as cleansers, moisterizers, lotions, creams, toners and much, much more.

This is a big order and is time consuming. But we all are seeking to have beautiful skin – skin that is radiant, youthful and glowing.

And nothing is too much when we have set such a goal.

Every individual is unique and responds differently to his or her environment and so does their skin. Even though you may be sallow skinned, don’t be fooled, your skin still needs protection from the sun and other elements. While most of us are pretty good for taking care of the skin on our faces, when it comes to our bodies most of us don’t think about skincare until the warmer weather and our summer wardrobes come round again. So even though it may seem early to be discussing this, it is important to be aware that whether you’re in India,  China, Afganistan, Pakistan, USA or UK,  your skin needs some form of protection and nourishment all year round.

We all of course need sunlight, without its rays there would be no life on earth. The sun lifts our spirits and activates the vital production of vitamin D in the body, so heading away on a sun holiday is a great idea at this time of year.

On the other hand, the sun’s ultra violet rays are what cause our skin to burn. Young skin, in particular, is especially delicate and develops sun damage very easily.

Experts believe that having sunburn during childhood can significantly increase your risk of malignant melanoma and research shows that 80% of all skin damage has already occurred by the time we are 18 years old.

It is difficult to over-state the importance of protecting ourself and our little ones when on a sun holiday.

Tips on Sunburned skin:

  • When sunburned try to keep the skin cool by applying tepid compresses or taking a tepid shower, do not have the water very cold though as this can cause shock to the skin.
    • Drink a glass of water with half a teaspoon of salt added to reduce the risks related to dehydration and keep out of sun until healed.
    • Use one of the following remedies to treat the condition, the correct homeopathic remedy can eliminate the pain within minutes and erase the redness within just 24 hours.

This is definately going to help you in the long run.

Have a happy skin care regime at home!
